Sacred Place United Church

We gather each Sunday starting at 10:30 am with our live stream at 11 am pt.

We hope you find a sacred place among us.

Join us for a gathering.

We know visiting a smaller church for the first time can be daunting.

If you’re super social, extroverted, and/or comfortable in new situations, we invite you to join us at 10:30 for our informal time of refreshments & refreshing conversation before our main gathering. This is a great time to get to know folx and grab some snacks.

If you’re more introverted or prefer to sneak in the back for your first visit, we recommend that you arrive at 11 for our main gathering time of music, reflection, and worship. We have some couches off to the side of the room which are pretty comfortable, and can be a good place to sit if you want a bit more space.

We gather at the Sacred Place Mission Center each Sunday. Except for Mission Sundays, Pastor Matthew shares a reflection during our time of worship with music, and often communion—all live streamed at 11 am here on our website and on Facebook or YouTube.

Masks are now optional. We ask those attending in-person to be updated on their COVID-19 vaccines which includes the bivalent booster. If you aren’t up-to-date on your vaccines or are experiencing cold, allergy, or flu-like symptoms, please join us online.

What’s in our DNA?

We work hard to create a Sacred Place where people do the work of justice in our world, especially in our communities. The themes of justice, inclusion, and family are the heart of who we are called to be and who we strive to be.

Justice

Justice-making is often daunting when our world feels so unjust at times. Finding something tangible which will actually have an impact can be difficult, but it is rewarding. It is life-giving not only to those who do the work, but most importantly, to those who benefit from the work.

Inclusion

Including others in our world takes intentional effort to create places of welcome, places of safety, and places of belonging. That work extends far beyond our online or in-person gatherings.

Family

Sustaining the family of God starts with ourselves and grows to include the community around us. We work to find small ways of living out our mission in our community so that we might align our actions with our hearts.

Today is Mission Sunday, so there is no live stream.
